About Gen Klein:

An environmental scientist with a Masters in Sustainable Development. With work experience in various areas such as environmental site assessment consulting, sustainable agriculture, and consumer behavior, I am now keen on finding a role in climate adaptation or conservation. 

Experience

  • 2 years of accumulated experience (from Junior to Intermediate roles) in Environmental Site Assessment consulting with WSP and DS Consultants
  • 1 year of experience with Fraunhofer Institute for Systems Innovation Research (in conjunction with my master thesis) 
  •   Co-op work experience in sustainable agriculture with Agri-Food and Agriculture Canada investigating different cropping methods on crop productivity and soil health (ie intercropping and cover crops)
  • Co-op experience in integrated pest management - monitoring cranberry crops in the Greater Vancouver Area for pests and diseases

Education

Masters in Sustainable Development, specializing in energy and materials (Utrecht University, Netherlands)

Bachelors in Environmental Science (University of Guelph)
