I am a dedicated Human Kinetics student at the University of Ottawa, passionate about fostering inclusive and engaging spaces in sports and recreation. With years of experience in coaching, leadership, and event coordination, I thrive in environments that encourage teamwork, growth, and movement.
Since 2022, I have actively volunteered with Special Olympics Ontario, supporting athletes of all abilities and ensuring they feel empowered through sport. My experience as a camp site coordinator, coach, and convenor has strengthened my skills in leadership, problem-solving, and program development. Whether mentoring young athletes, organizing events, or leading a team, I am committed to creating safe and positive spaces where everyone feels encouraged to participate.

Experience
With a strong background in sports, recreation, and leadership, I have developed expertise in program coordination, team management, and inclusive coaching. My experience includes working in camp leadership, event planning, and volunteer engagement, with a focus on creating safe, engaging, and accessible environments for children and athletes of all abilities.
Key Roles & Achievements:
- Site Coordinator (2024) – Managed a team of 10 staff, overseeing a camp of 40 children, ensuring safety, engagement, and program effectiveness.
- Camp Counsellor (2023) – Designed and led inclusive activities, provided one-on-one support, and acted as a primary point of contact for parents.
- Special Olympics Volunteer & Unified Athlete (2023-2024) – Supported athletes in multiple sports, assisted educational staff, and represented Unified Athletes in five Special Olympics Ontario events.
- Convenor (2023-2024) – Organized sporting events, managed logistics, and coordinated schedules for referees and scorekeepers.
- Coach (2023-2024) – Selected as a Track & Field Coach for Special Olympics Ontario, mentoring athletes and speaking at closing ceremonies.
- Library Page (2022-2023) – Provided customer service, facilitated STEAM programming, and maintained an organized library environment.
My professional experience reflects my dedication to leadership, teamwork, and community engagement, particularly in youth development and inclusive recreation. I am passionate about creating spaces where everyone feels encouraged, supported, and inspired to participate.
Education
I am currently pursuing an Honors Bachelor in Human Kinetics – Education and Coaching at the University of Ottawa (2024-2028), where I am developing expertise in sports science, coaching methodologies, and movement education.
Previously, I attended Napanee District Secondary School (2021-2024), graduating as an Ontario Scholar and Honors Student. I was actively involved in leadership roles, serving as Co-chair of NASA (Napanee Athletic Student Association) and a member of the Athletic Council, where I helped organize and promote school sports and events.
My education has provided me with a strong foundation in sports leadership, team dynamics, and inclusive coaching, preparing me for a career in athletics, recreation, and education.
