About Gonzalo De León:

I am a social worker in both English and Spanish who constantly seeks more learning opportunities and specializations in the field of Psychotherapy. Currently studying the Master of Social Work program at King's University College. 

Experience

I started my journey in Social Work as a frontline worker at the resource centres LUSO and Crouch, which broadened my understanding of the socioeconomic context in London, ON, and got me started working with people experiencing unemployment, poverty, addictions, and mental health challenges. As I continued my BSW program, I completed a counselling placement in King's Community Support Centre and a non-therapeutic social work placement at Neighbourhood Legal Services. I finished my BSW in April 2025, and immediately started working as an Addiction and Mental Health Worker at Canadian Mental Health Association until November, when I decided to fully focus on my MSW, which I will complete in August 2026.
