Grace Hobe

I became passionate about big equipment after I had moved to Nova Scotia in late 2021. I began with lift trucks at Sky Café at the Halifax airport, and continued onto bigger trucks as I joined Regroup Environmental Inc. I was eager to keep learning as much as I could about the different types of equipment and trucks we had in the company. Although I had to come back to Ontario earlier than I had expected, this gave me the opportunity to go back to school to learn about crane operation and other machinery. I hope to use my knowledge and skills to work full time in my field.

In 2022-2023 I was a full time garbage truck driver for Regroup Environmental Inc in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Prior to this I have experience working at Just Junk and the Halifax Airport at Sky Café as a lift truck driver and forklift operator.

I have just graduated as of April 2024 from the Durham college crane operation, rigging and construction techniques program. This gave me the opportunity to earn many certifications, including but not limited to the 0-8 ton crane operator certificate, forklift operator certificate, and overhead crane operator certification.
