I am a mechanical engineering student specializing in robotics at Ryerson University, and I am currently finishing up my final year. 

As an aspiring engineer, the responsibilities outlined in the job description pique my interest. Your company looks like an excellent place for me to start gaining new experience in the engineering field. I believe that these responsibilities will test my ability as a soon-to-be engineer, as I have to hone my problem-solving skills to apply them in real-world experience. My experience at Bombardier Inc. helped me understand how engineers live and work in the workforce daily.

I have experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Solidworks, interpretation of engineering drawings and designs, and programming languages such as Python, C, C++, C#, VHDL, HTML5, CSS3, Java and JavaScript. These skills and experiences were attained through coursework, online learning platforms, and student teams and were self-taught. I have an intermediate level of proficiency in these skills, but I would love to get more advanced at them. My experiences working with many different teams in my previous workplaces, along with my experience working on a semester-long mechanical engineering design project, will be of interest to your company.

After going through the job description, I can be of use and a great addition to the team as I am an easy person to get along with. Although I do not have a high level of experience, I am a very quick learner and am willing to broaden my set of skills. I can quickly adapt to new situations and I am able to notice problems at the earlier stages. I  meet the requirements of this position and my work ethic and willingness to adapt to new situations are something to note. My drive to succeed and learn has been continuously increasing over the years and this is notable just by looking at my transcript as my grades and accomplishments have only increased over time.
