About Ibadete Miskiqi:
My name is Ibadete Miskiqi and I have been living in Winnipeg since 2015. I moved to Winnipeg to be closer with my husband and to start a new chapter in my life. I am originally from Prishtina, Kosovo. It’s a small country located in the Balkans.
I have two children who are 6 and 4 years old. They both attend school and preschool here in Charleswood.
I have grown to enjoy this neighbourhood quite a lot along with my kids, husband and extended family.
They enjoy going to the park, and stopping by at McDonald’s for an ice cream afterwards.
I currently work two part-time jobs while also taking caring of my two children. My husband Is currently working in Fort McMurray and he travels back and forth. During the day I work as a lunch supervisor at Royal School and in the evenings I work a few shifts a week at Shoppers as a cashier.
I am fluent in English and have post secondary degree in Education. I received my degree from the University of Prishtina in 2015.
I am looking to get a full-time job in education and not have to work two part-time jobs. Whether it’s a one on one with a child who needs extra attention or simply helping out a teacher with her class. I am a great team player and always willing to help others whether covering their shifts or simply doing a task that requires extra hands .
I would like to spend more time with my kids after they’re done school and watch them grow. And hopefully help out my husband financially so he can stay in Winnipeg and not have to travel back and forth for work.
Overall I am an open book and honest. If you have more questions I can definitely answer them when needed to.
Experience
I have a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Prishtina in Education. It’s a three year degree that specializes in elementary school care and social work.
During my time at University I was required to complete 3 months of volunteer work at an elementary school.
Side note: obtaining a degree from a state university is difficult in Kosovo and harder for students As opposed to a private university.
Education
I haven’t been able to obtain and relevant experience in my field because I moved from my home country right after getting my degree .
