It is with great interest that I submit my application for the position at your institution. 

As you notice while reading my curriculum vitae, the Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Moldova State University in 1998 and the second Ph.D. in Computer Science (Bioinformatics) at the UQAM in 2018 have been obtained. I have strong expertise in bioinformatics, biostatistics, machine learning, data analysis, optimization, numerical mathematics. I have the ability to lead my own projects as well as collaborate well and contribute to the projects of others. I have a great interest in applying mathematical models in different fields of science. 

I was a scientific researcher in many universities such as Leuven (Belgium), Budapest (Hungary), Raleigh (USA), Chemnitz (Germany), Trieste (Italy).  I received many international scholarships such as Fulbright (USA), DAAD (Germany), Fare (CANADA), Mitacs, etc. I presently work as a Researcher- at the CHU Sainte-Justine Hospital Research Center, University of Montreal. Within my current role, it has been demonstrated that I am able to work as a Bilingual researcher in a multi-disciplinary team. The machine learning methods in Bioinformatics were applied to predict the disease progressions for both Scoliosis and Chronic Fatigue. In short term the published the scientific article has been published. 

In the 2018-2019 years, I was Researcher at the Centre for Structural and Functional Genomics, Concordia University, Montreal. I was involved in two scientific projects: The first project was related to the Application of Machine Learning Methods in protein production and the second project was related with statistical analysis of multi-omics data in filamentous fungi. 

In the 2017-2018 years, I was worked as a Researcher- Bio-Informatics in the project MetaboAnalyst 4.0 at the Parasitological Institute, McGill, Montreal. It is a widely used platform by the scientific community. The scientific paper has been published in a high-impact factor journal. 

In the 2013-2018 period I was a Researcher at the Department of Computer Science, UQAM, Montreal. During my PhD period, I was integrated at the Genome Québec Innovation Centre, McGill, Montreal. The scientific direction of my research project was related to the elaboration of efficient and accurate statistical methods to detect and eliminate the bias in High-throughput screening (HTS).  My Ph.D. period was productive: three scientific articles and one conference poster have been published in Bioinformatics. One of these articles has a high impact factor, a lot of citations, and was included in Wikipedia During this period “AssayCorrector: Detection and Correction of Spatial Bias in HTS Screens” has been elaborated using R-package,  At the same time, being at the Genome Québec Innovation Centre, we worked on a project related to off-target effects for RNAi screening (siRNAs). 

As result, I have many publications in different field of science.  I am fluent in English, French, Russian, and Romanian. I have programming skills in C/C++, R, Python, C# and Java, XHTML, Java Prime Faces, etc.  The ability to handle many projects at once was developed. I am attentive to deadlines and I have the ability to work well under pressure. I have excellent organizational and planning knowledge.  I am a dynamic person with strong analytical abilities and proven leadership skills. I feel confident that my educational background, previous experience abilities will allow me to make a valuable contribution to your institution.
