Janna Wang

I am currently a 3rd-year student studying Management and Legal Studies at the University of Western Ontario. I come from Calgary Alberta and graduated from Rundle College High School. My passions include dance and cheer. Being on the cheer team in high school helped gain me valuable experience with teamwork making me value the importance of being a team player and this has transferred into my life and work experiences. As well, being in dance made me realize how important it is to pursue your passion and I still continue to dance on the Dance Force team at the University of Western Ontario. Overall, education and school is important to me but I equally value my passions in life and my friendships and relationships with others. 

Currently, I work at Journeys at Masonville Mall in London Ontario. This job experience has positively influenced my ability in customer service as every interaction with customers teaches me more about selling and marketing. In the summer of 2022 I worked at Insureline in Calgary Alberta as a Junior Bookkeeper and this job expanded my knowledge of insurance and what it was like to work in an office job and the importance of keeping relationships with coworkers. Finally, I worked at Kumon Math and Reading Tutoring Center in high school and this job experience taught me the valuable trait of patience and knowledge. 

I am currently in my third year at the University of Western Ontario in the BMOS Program studying Management and Legal Studies. Through the blended courses of both business and law, I can gain valuable knowledge on how  business and law are dependent on each other and the importance of both.
