Jared Hardy

My name is Jared Hardy, and I am a third-year student in Sports Management. I am a driven leader who strives to engage any workplace with integrity and professionalism. My goal is to work alongside trusted professionals in the Sports Management industry to grow my knowledge and skill within the field. I have excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Throughout my time at university and college, I have been privileged enough to help serve on club leadership teams. I have led and organized many events with InterVarsity Canada at the University of Ottawa. I have spoken in front of crowds of 100-200 people as part of InterVarsity leadership. I have had many classes on sports, events, and business management and maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout my schooling. My main goal is to finally put this knowledge and skill to practical use as I step into the corporate side of sports management. 

I have been involved in sports all my life, from playing in my small hometown to coaching in Toronto. I have a passion and love for the game and seek to engage communities with sport, as it can bring people together like nothing else. 

I have worked in many different fields as a student, giving me a well-rounded skill set for any number of Jobs.

Sporting Life - 2021-present

• I am currently a hardgoods lead at Sporting Life in Toronto. I provide excellent customer service and offer plenty of knowledge on any equipment being questioned. 
• I continuously lead sales in the department and bring in many customer compliments. 
• I have brought a new level of organization to the department as it gets crowded with all the products. 

Old Navy - 2019-2021

• I was a men's and warehouse lead. 
• With my manager and supervisor, I managed to rework the efficiency of the warehouse. This allowed us to more efficiently move products from boxes to the floor and enabled better use of time for myself and the team. 

Davey Tree Company - 2018-2019

• I was an arborist for the Davey Tree Company. 
• I executed many plans and jobs on time and efficiently. 
• We completed a contract with the city of Ottawa in record time. We sprayed every park in Ottawa to help with the growing problem of poisoned parsnip.

Prairie College - Sports Management

• I am finishing my third year, with a 3.9 GPA overall. 

University of Ottawa - Business Commerce - 2017-2019

• I studied Accounting and business at the University of Ottawa for two years.
