About Jay Mercer:

I am a experienced underground miner with supervision experience as well. I am extremely reliable and always keep safety first while preforming any tasks at hand. I am a people person and can get along with anyone. I believe in coaching workers to achieve their full potential.

Experience

In 1995 I started my career in mining as a Cagetender/Skiptender, working my way through the ranks. I became a sill/sub miner. I have done a lot of cut and fill mining and track mining in the past. I am also familiar with the Longhole side of the business as I was a Longhole blaster for 6yrs. I wanted to expand my skill set so I became a supervisor. I now have over 5 solid years of supervision. I would be a great opportunity to add my experience to the team and gain more at the same time. Balmertown is my home town and I look forward to this opportunity.
