Analyse and creation of Oracle Warehouse Builder jobs

Business Intelligence Consultant – Bank

The purpose of this project was to provide files to CDIC (Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation) in the case of bankruptcy to reduce the time needed to repay the bank’s customers. To do this, we had to feed an intermediate database (equivalent to an ODS) from files produced by the mainframe.

The files were loaded using SQL Loader into staging tables and then into the intermediate database with the ETL Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB). Subsequently, this data was transferred to an SAD database (equivalent to a data mart), then an IDD database to be formatted as the target files. Finally, text files with the CDIC format were produced from the IDD database.
