On completion of my Motorman Certificate from the South Maritime African Safety Authority, i attended the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies (in Scotland) from where I successfully completed the SVQ-3 in Marine Engineering, the HND in Mechanical Engineering combined with the Merchant Navy Workshop Skills.
Due to other issues, I was not able to complete the Sea Services to fill my Portfolio prior to my Oral Exams at MCA Office.
I am British citizen, fit and well, and I would be very grateful if you could offer me this opportunity to join your team and continue delivering your Objectives.
My Safety Certificates have expired, and I am willing and available at short notice to retrain.

Experience

I am a member of the National Health Services (NHS Lanarkshire) Property and Support Services Department responsible for the Operational Management of the Department within a designated area of NHSL Monklands Community Health Partnership (CHP). As a member of the Facilities Maintenance Management Team i provide Operational Leadership, including staff management and I have overall responsibility for ensuring that Engineering Plants, Building and Grounds Maintenance is carried out to appropriate standards and specifications.
This include the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance, Organising, Planning and initiating Reactive with Corrective Maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical Plants Systems installed within the multiple facilities under Monklands CHP Hub. On account of my Financial Delegation, I raise Purchase Order for Approval; I recently liaised with Specialist Contractor to plan and schedule Statutory Services for Steam and Pressured Systems for the West of Scotland Laundry and throughout multiple Buildings making the Monklands Community Partnership Hub. I carry out Performance Review Development for my Team Members and i actively encourage and participate to their Skills Development Trainings during Toolbox Talks and for Competent Person. I organise Audits for Equipment and Plants Systems within my areas of work, and I organise for Suitably Qualified and Experienced Frameworks Contractors to carry out Statutory Tests and Certifications. I organise daily works delivery and i brief Team Member on the Safe System of Work for both Reactive and Preventative Tasks. I seek quote for new works, and i organise Work Delivery Pre-Start Meetings during which we apply (SWIFT) "Structured What If Technics" to Identify Risk and carried out Analysis to implement Principles for Mitigation and Control of Health Associated Infection Risks.
I am Authorised Person for Boiler and Pressurised Systems, Low Voltage Electrical System, and i have recently successfully completed the AP training for Ventilation. I review Safety Programme and I draft Sequence of Operations before issuing a Confined Space Entry Permit during Steam Boiler Statutory Inspection, For Pressured System Vessels and also for Cleansing of Cold Water Storage Tanks. On my recent posting at the West of Scotland Laundry, I have liaised with Spirax Sarco to successfully carry Annual Review to Steam Traps and to Steam Boiler Control Systems; and with the Approval of my Line Manager, i raise Requisitions for Purchase Orders to Repairs recommended after these Audits. I liaise and collaborate with Contractors to deliver Add Hoc and i participate in the Review Of Specification for Technical Requirements for Project Type Works and i ensure that all Planned Preventative Works for Water Management and Ventilation, Compressed Air and other Building Services have been successfully and timely completed. I review my team Workloads and i seek approval from my line manager before Allocating Overtime as well as raising Purchase Orders on Contractors; and i liaise with both Infection Control Team and Ward Managers and Contractor for Controlled but Safe Delivery of Works.
During my previous employment with the British Ministry of Defence, where I was the Engineering Technical Officer for Mechanical Handling (Lifting Equipment fitted on Her Majesty Surface Ships, I was Equipment Owner for Davits and Lifts fitted on Her Majesty Surface Ships, responsible for the management and delivery of the technical functions and support to logistic functions required to meet Business Objectives on Mechanical Equipment Systems – Mechanical Constructive and Hydraulic (MES-MCH). I Provide In-service technical support, including Operational Defect Management, and I implement Unit Maintenance Management Systems (UMMS) / Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).
I liaise with a wide range of other internal and external customers, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (EOM), Quality Control Team, Repairs / Maintenance Contractors to manage Spare Replenishment as per UMMS / RCM and Illustrated Parts Catalogues, and also Test and Acceptance Regulatory Body. I support line manager on part Obsolescence
Analysis and I update entries on databases. I participate to Set-To-Work, and I ensure part or plant supplied met the Safe-To-Operate characteristics, and risk manageable as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP). I attend seminars and Other Trainings to boost my capability and I liaise with (COM) Class Output Management, OEM and Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) to schedule mandatory Trial Tests & Acceptance in compliance with Book of Reference and the EOM Specifications. I liaise with Stakeholders to review Progress of Work Delivery during Progress Meetings and I provide update on evolution; thus ensuring that Works are delivered in accordance with The Mechanical Handling Statement of Technical Requirement.
Prior to this post I was a Technical Officer with remits to manage the maintenance of Facilities and Estates at the NATO Hospital at Royal Air Force Base of Lakenheath. I provide technical support in the management and supervision of Facilities Support Contract, to enable availability and readiness of mechanical, electrical plants including building structures and fabrics in accordance with Facility Services Contract (DIO-FSC1). I am a Design Officer and I clarify Works Statement of Technical Requirements to contractor and I am accountable to final account. I identify future works and I take ownership in ensuring that tasks are delivered in timely and professional manner. I manage spare replenishment, obsolescence and I review quote to ensure Ad Hoc or New Works are carried out value-for-money in accordance with my financial delegation. I update entries on database (IWIMS, IMAGE, BDMT). I Issue and I supervise all Permit To Work and I ensure contingency measures are readily available and practicable throughout tasks execution. I liaise with Stakeholders (Skilled Qualified and Experienced Person or Contractor) to carry out mandatory Test-Acceptance Certification (for Building Structure and Envelop, Power Supply and Installations, Pressurised Vessels, Water Quality, Fire Alarm and Public Address, Mechanical-Electrical Systems and Automatic Transfer System) in accordance with Reliability Centred Maintenance. I make recommendation or rejection for Invoices Payment.
Successfully let a MoD’s Contractor to deliver Value for Money on a support contract for C Type Davit on Frigate. I Contributed to the review of Hazard Log of the Davit on Landing Platform Dock and Foot Lift on Frigate. I Successfully provide effective advice to Ship Staff (SS) to carry out remedial of defects to davits and lifts.
I liaise with suppliers / manufacturers to satisfy Obsolescence Management, and I manage Mandatory Tests through Designated Person or a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person.

Key responsibilities: Total Facilities Maintenance Management. I provided technical support in the management and supervision of Facilities Support Contract (FSC1), to enable availability and readiness of mechanical and electrical plants including building structures in accordance with Facility Services (DIO-FSC1 and (FSC2) Contracts.
Successful managed the Design, Procurement and Installation of a Chillers System.
Successfully managed the Modification of Air Conditioning System to satisfy new rooms and compartments, at NATO Hospital inside RAF Lakenheath.
Successfully lead the MoD’s Contractor during the Mandatory 5 Yearly Scheduled Inspection and Testing of Electrical Power Supply and distribution Systems, covering generator, load banks, transformers sub-stations units, Automatic Transfer Systems and Switchboard, AC-DC Converter / Inverter & Batteries Systems.
Successfully lead MoD’s Contractor in the Replacement of Fire doors with new of 120 minutes Fire Retardant. Lead a MoD’s Contractor in the Renewal of piping system converging medical gas from storage tank to main distribution cylinder; and also the repair drain pipes converging medical waste water containing mercury by replacement with new Nitrite Pipes.
