About Jesse Landry:

I am Jesse Landry, a dedicated and innovative educator with over 15 years of experience in primary and ESL teaching. My career has taken me around the globe, from Japan to China, and most recently to Kuwait and Canada, where I have honed my skills in diverse educational settings. I am passionate about lifelong learning and continually seek out new pedagogical approaches to enrich my teaching practice.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to adapting and tailoring my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of my students, whether through integrating technology into the classroom, developing inquiry-based learning seminars, or providing supportive environments for language learners. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education and am a certified Google Educator, well-versed in a variety of educational tools and platforms.

I thrive in multicultural environments and am highly experienced in living and working abroad, which has broadened my understanding of different educational systems and student needs. My goal is to continue making a positive impact on my students by fostering an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and growth.

Experience

I have over 15 years of teaching experience across diverse international settings, including Canada, Kuwait, China, and Japan. My background is rooted in primary and ESL education, where I’ve focused on curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and effective classroom management.

Beyond my teaching career, I’ve had the opportunity to broaden my skill set through various roles. While studying at Carleton University, I worked for a television repair company, where I developed technical skills and honed my customer service abilities. After completing my degree, I also gained experience at Classic Dental Laboratory in Ottawa, a role that required meticulous attention to detail and precision.

Additionally, I’ve worked as a driver for Uber, where I further developed my interpersonal skills, time management, and an in-depth understanding of urban logistics. This role allowed me to interact with a wide range of people, enhancing my adaptability and communication skills.

These experiences have provided me with a unique blend of educational, technical, and interpersonal skills, making me a versatile and well-rounded candidate in the job market.

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education from Charles Sturt University, where I gained a solid foundation in educational theory and practice, preparing me for a successful career in teaching. My education focused on developing effective teaching strategies, understanding child development, and creating inclusive classroom environments. This degree has been instrumental in shaping my approach to teaching and has supported my work in various international educational settings.

Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies from Carleton University, which has contributed to my creative thinking and ability to integrate multimedia resources into my teaching practices.

My commitment to continuous learning is further demonstrated by my certification as a Google Educator Level 1, which has enhanced my ability to effectively use technology in the classroom.
