Jessica Ghuman

I am a undergraduate student. 

I am a fourth-year undergraduate Psychology student attending MacEwan University here in Edmonton and am interested in applying for your Junior HR assistant position. 
I have prior experience working in administration as a supervisor in retail. This exposed me to multiple duties that are related to HR, such as scheduling, maintenance of resources, and recruitment. 
My degree in psychology gave me a deep understanding of behavior as well as gaining multiple skills. These include active listening, empathy, communication, problem-solving, organization, and critical thinking, all of which can be applied to the field of human resources. Psychology plays a very important role at the time of recruitment, taking disciplinary action or resolving disputes between employees. 
My work experience and educational background have equipped me with the skills and understanding of human resources as well as given me an insight into the job market.
 

Bachelor of Science. Major in psychology, minor in biology. Many courses were taken for human resources.
