Jian Vince Munoz

I'm a student currently studying at the University of Winnipeg Applied Computer Science. Besides learning code and computers, I love to create and design. I'm very interested with websites and the internet, and I'm studying to become a web developer in the future!

In the summer of 2022 I worked as a cashier/ counter attendant and barista for The Icing Castle. I would handle customer transactions and provide info of our products as I'm the first person the customer would interact with. I usually brew expressos at the expresso machine and make bubble tea products for the customers. If able, I would also clean all the tables and chairs.

In addition, I also worked as a Voting officer: Poll for Elections Manitoba during the 2023 provincial elections that too place in October. There, I would scan voters into the system and guide them on how and where to vote for their candidates. For new voters I would record their information into the registry and help with cleaning before and after voting began.

I'm an Honours student in the Applied Computer Science Department. There I would learn fundamental programming concepts and principals, as well as different programming/scripting languages such as Assembly, Java, JavaScript, CSS, and html. Besides programming I learned business approaches and Software analysis and design. I would also learn how to use office products (Word, Excel, Access) and the concept of databases.
