My name is João Conrado Franco. In Brazil, I graduated in law and worked as a labor and contract attorney for more than 05 years. In Canada, I completed the TCS course (International Transportation and Customs – with honours) at Seneca College on Dec.22 and I have been working as an Ocean Imports Coordinator in a Freight Forwarder for more than 02 years.
Every day I deal with a large volume of information and documents (B/L, Arrival Notices, eManifests, Invoices, etc.) using the company’s TMS, spreadsheets (Excel), and e-mails (Outlook) - essential tools for tracking/monitoring shipments, organizing priorities, and keeping updated follow-ups for our customers. I make phone contact with customers, steamship lines, warehouses, carriers, brokers, and even the CBSA. I carry out cargo tracking, double-check all documentation, file manifests, pay and dispute invoices, and bill customers, working closely with the accounts receivable/payable departments.
I am well organized, detail-oriented, and used to daily dealing with a large volume of information and documents. After 02 years of working in a fast-paced environment, I feel comfortable and prepared to deal with bigger challenges
