Joël Lajoie-Corriveau

I am an avid fan of video games who would like to make a career as either a gameplay programmer or a generalist programmer.

I have wild imagination, lots of creativity and the patience needed to work well. It is easy for me to stay calm and composed even in stressful situations. I am honest and respect my promises. If I give you my word, you can trust me that I will hold it.

I possess natural leadership skills and it is easy for me to make a conversation flow. This allowed me to become president of my high school, André-Laurendeau, as well as deliver a good performance as the main role in some of its theatrical productions. I participated in a competition to deliver speechs, "Art Oratoire", and came out in second place at the provincial level.

I have good grades in school, with an average of about 85% and up, 3.8 GPA and 33 of "Côte R".

I have about 2 years of experience as a professional developer in the computer science industry. I mainly worked with C# and SQL on various projects at both Skytech Communications (makers of Omnivox) and Segic, a company providing a SaS portal for insurance companies.

I've worked well autonomously and as part of a team, and both jobs hired me after my internships. I also got a summer job at Segic, independently.

I have bachelor's degree in computer science from Concordia University in Montréal. I also have a technical degree (3 years program) from Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, also in computer science.
