Jonathan Rist

My name is Jonathan Rist, and for the past 10 years, I have been working in high-schools as a support assistant, resource teacher, and classroom teacher. Indeed, I am a pedagogue, which means I am the designer, content writer, operations lead, communications specialist, and program manager for my classroom. All in the same day, I can excite students about a lesson, build consensus among teachers, resolve conflicts, or advocate buy-ins for a new educational technology product . Now, after working 10 years in high-schools in Montreal, China, and northern Quebec, I am ready to use these skills to build on my professional experience outside of the classroom. 

For the past 10 years, I have worked with youths in many different capacities - as a swim coach/instructor, a project developer for a non-profit organization, a support assistant in high schools, and a classroom teacher. I am highly organized, adept at relationship building, creative, and have a passion for technology. All in the same day, I can excite students about a lesson, build consensus among teachers, resolve conflicts, or advocate buy-ins for a new educational technology product. Now, after working 10 years in high schools in Montreal, China, and northern Quebec, I am ready to use these skills to build on my professional experience outside of the classroom. 

I completed a Bachelor of Education at McGill University.
