I'm Jorge Manzanilla, an educator, writer, and cultural practitioner from Mérida, Yucatán. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and a PhD in Cultural Studies. My work explores the intersections of language, identity, and memory—whether through teaching Spanish for business and healthcare, developing inclusive learning experiences.
Experience
I am an experienced educator and cultural scholar specializing in Spanish language instruction for business, healthcare, and heritage learners. With over a decade of teaching across all educational levels, I hold a PhD in Cultural Studies and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). My work integrates project-based learning, inclusive pedagogy, and storytelling to foster meaningful, culturally rich language experiences. I also develop creative and academic content that bridges education, literature, and community engagement.
