Joseph Chan

I started my career in Software Development using COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS and other IBM Mainframe Technologies. I've working experience on both Public and Private Sectors.

In my recent role I have taken part in the migration projects which involves the conversion of IDEAL-based programs to COBOL Programs and prior to that the conversion of COBOL-based programs to JAVA programs.

As a Mainframe Developer, I was responsible for:
1. Gathering the Business Requirements from our Clients / Users,
2. Documentation, development, testing, implementation, monitoring and support.
3. Validation of the Technical requirements with the SMEs Subject Matter Experts and/or Client's IT counterparts. 

I possess good work ethics, Flexibility and I embrace change.

I display patience, initiative, being autonomous, critical thinking, problem solving skills, "can do attitude", determined, diligence and competence.

I'm also a Team Player. I work well with others. I am driven and result-oriented.

I take pride in my accomplishments especially when I see that my work is helping the client's day-to-day activities.

Right now I'm doing some self studying on Python and some web development as I want to learn a new programming language.

I consider my family as my inspiration. I always look forward in giving them the best that I can give.

My hobbies are cycling and playing badminton.
