About Joseph Solovitch:
- Labour, Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. I provide expertise in the records schedule review, standards, guidelines, procedures tools and approval process and implementing government common records series for records that are similar across government and agencies.
- Management and Leadership - As Senior Coordinator, I functioned as a mentor, coach, facilitator, and enabler for staff. I have ensured the development and delivery of training of staff. I design policies and procedures for Collections Development & Management (CDM) and have experience with standards, guidelines and benchmarking, and organizing workflow. I have monitored Provincial legislation including FIPPA and PHIPPA as well as professional standards to ensure due diligence. I have experience in coordinating practices with the government record centres and in procurement and have managed contracts for services with external service providers.
- I apply Project Management principles to implement projects and changes to processes at the Archives of Ontario. Recent examples include planning and directing aspects of the move in 2009 of the Archives of Ontario. In 2007 I led a team that redesigned the government accrual business process, for which we won the MGS Edge Award for Innovation. I have monitored project budgets and tracked activities to meet financial targets. I have knowledge of human resource management practices and experience in managing staff, including facilitating staff resources and dealing with internal conflicts.
