I am an Industrial Engineer with substantial experience in Aerospace, Electronics and CPG manufacturing. Direct experience with ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence, U.T.C.) and Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement methodologies. Focus on process improvement / standardization, root cause analysis and change management in the manufacturing field.

June 2022 – Present: Collins Aerospace – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Job Title:Technical Project Manager; Mission Systems Division

• Responsible for tracking, reporting and analysis to understand Mission Systems development program performance. I make recommendations to staffing and/or schedule adjustments based on these metrics.

• Accountable for generating project management bids for new, complex development projects.

• Leading the development of program execution plans in collaboration with site leadership. Accountable for execution to ensure projects remain within budget, on schedule and meet requirements.

 

October 2020 – June 2022: Pratt & Whitney Canada – Enfield, Nova Scotia, Canada

Job Title: Capital Project Manager

• Accountable for site Capital and Expense budgets that werereported monthly. Was also responsible for identifying accruals for year-end closure in conjunction with Finance.

• Managed a Capital Project portfolio of over $4M CAD throughout 2021

 

June 2016 – October 2020: Pratt & Whitney Canada – Enfield, Nova Scotia, Canada

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

• Responsible for executing capital projects through business case development, sourcing of equipment, delivery, installation, and commissioning.

• Led the development of a Lean Transformation Strategy for manual processes on a production line. I led and participated in many Kaizen events to improve the efficiency of these areas.

• Hired and led Engineering Co-op students.

 

June 2015 – June 2016: PepsiCo Foods Canada – New Minas, Nova Scotia, Canada

Job Title: Senior Support Resource

• Was responsible for training, mentoring and coaching new team leaders to help them develop the leadership skills required to be successful.

• Responsible for reporting out on and developing tactics to improve our cost performance. While in this role I executed initiatives that resulted in over $100,000 in productivity improvement.

• Led a major change initiative implementing new technology in our Packaging room. Created and led a cross-functional guiding team to bring the site through this change effectively.

• Responsible for leading the Receiving department over a 24-hour shift structure.

 

November 2013 – June 2015: PepsiCo Foods Canada – New Minas, Nova Scotia, Canada

Job Title: Manufacturing Resource

• Led multiple teams of 40 hourly associates with varying levels of experience and technical skills. Was responsible for hiring decisions, goal setting as well as performance management for these teams.

• Responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety.

• Inspired the team to reach performance goals while keeping a high level of engagement.

• Conducted performance reviews with technicians to ensure that expectations were being met. I openly asked for feedback during these sessions to work with my teams and improve my capability as a leader.

• Responsible for an organizational KPI for Continuous Improvement cost reductions of $250,000.
