About Kara Charette:

My name is Kara Charette, and I bring over six years of experience in customer service and four years in administration. I graduated from St. Clair College with a graphic design diploma and a First Aid/CPR certification from First Aid 4 U in Goderich. Additionally, I hold an Ontario Equine Education Certificate from the University of Guelph. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience managing a retail store, where I consistently delivered exceptional customer service. I also possess a strong understanding of technology and marketing strategies. As a creative thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, I enjoy collaborating with others to drive success and achieve shared goals. 


 

Experience

With over 5 years of experience in administrative and customer service roles, I bring strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to any position. I have a proven track record in data management, office administration, and team leadership, having worked across a range of industries including retail, cannabis, and insurance.

In addition to my administrative expertise, I am passionate about pursuing a career that allows me to work more closely with animals. With my recent Ontario Equine Education & Employment Program certification, I am eager to transition my skills into an animal-related field, whether through data management, administrative support, or other roles within the animal care or veterinary industries.

As an Assistant Store Manager at Bootlegger, I honed my leadership abilities by managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction. I was responsible for overseeing inventory, creating sales reports, and scheduling, while also providing ongoing employee training and mentorship.

In my roles as an Extraction Technician at Hempsana and Processing Specialist at 7Acres, I gained valuable experience in data entry, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to strict safety regulations. Additionally, I have a background in billing and order entry from my time at PC Insurance and Microage Basics, where I supported administrative teams with invoicing, customer inquiries, and processing orders.

With a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Sheets, and Adobe Suite, I am skilled in handling multiple tasks, managing sensitive data, and working collaboratively within teams. I am a highly motivated and reliable self-starter, with a passion for continuous learning, problem-solving, and a deep desire to contribute to animal-related work.
