About Katherine Stewart:

 

 

I am an Elementary School teacher with four years of experience in British and International schools. I am moving to Vancouver as a permanent resident in spring 2023. I am in the process of getting my Teacher Certification recognized in British Columbia. I trained as an Elementary school teacher at Goldsmith's University in London and worked placements in inner-city schools throughout my training in 2018. Before achieving Qualified Teacher Status in the UK I worked as a teaching assistant in French bilingual schools.

I am of British-Italian nationality and completed my high-school education in Brussels, Belgium. I am fluent in three languages English, Italian, and French. I currently work at the European School (I) of Berkendael in Brussels and am part of the anti-bullying management team at the school. My interests are child development, ecological and holistic education, and inclusive teaching in elementary schools.

I create a strong learning environment that is conducive to children’s learning in line with the European School system. I organize and upkeep the classroom in a way that aids all pupils learning and prioritizes inclusivity.
