Responsible for overseeing 17 properties totaling 3.5 million square feet. The portfolio was made up of office, retail, industrial, and residential. Responsible for the overall strategy, financial performance, capital planning and financial reporting for the portfolio with an annual NOI of over $34M. 

  • Led, mentored, motivated, and developed a multi-disciplinary team of 5 direct reports in all aspects of property management.
  • Successfully collaborated with internal and external stakeholders, clients and property owners on overall site planning, tenant and landlord construction coordination, leasing and property use strategy, property activation and tenant onboarding in developments totaling over 1 million sf.
  • Key contributor in the creation of comprehensive multi-stakeholder shared facility agreements and property onboarding of three newly developed, mixed-use retail and residential properties.
  • Led the implementation of a comprehensive sustainability and energy management program across the portfolio resulting in a reduction of energy and water usage and achieving elevated levels of BOMA Best certifications.
  • Worked alongside sustainability experts in undertaking climate risk audits and in developing ESG strategy along with long-term capital plans for all properties.
  • Initiated the development of property master plans to enhance property value, improve the tenant and guest experience, and achieve more accessible, sustainable, community-oriented properties.
  • Collaborated with leadership team to develop standardized client and tenant initiatives and processes including a comprehensive communication initiative to foster communication, improve customer service and increase tenant retention.

General Manager, Toronto ON    2018 - 2019                                                                                                    

Reporting to the Senior Director of Property Management, managed four mixed-use properties totaling 1.1 million square feet. Responsible for all aspects of daily operations including property management and operations, team leadership of 8 direct reports, budgeting, capital planning, financial reporting, community and tenant relations, contract negotiations, re-development, tenant construction, security, and life safety.

 

FIRST CAPITAL REALTY, Toronto ON                                                                                                     

2014 - 2018

General Manager, Yorkville Village

Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, the primary responsibilities involved managing the operations of nine mixed-use properties in the Yorkville area, totaling 580,000 square feet and consisting of retail, office, and residential spaces. Managed the operations of Yorkville Village (formerly Hazelton Lanes), during an extensive redevelopment. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of 3080 Yonge Street office building. Oversaw and onboarded newly acquired properties in Yorkville in various stages of development, including the retail at 1 Bloor Street East, twenty residential condominium units, and historical commercial properties along Yorkville and Hazelton Avenue.

 

OXFORD PROPERTIES, Scarborough ON                                                                                           

2009 – 2014

General Manager, Scarborough Town Centre

Reporting to the Director of Retail, primary accountability entailed all aspects of the management of a 1.3 million sf super regional shopping centre for the duration of a $62 million dollar redevelopment, along with day-to-day management of adjacent properties located on a 95-acre site. Managed 6 direct reports responsible for leading a team of 130 employees. Scarborough Town Centre attracts 22 million visitors annually, features over 240 retail, service, and entertainment outlets, and links to a major transportation hub for the GTA. 

 

ORLANDO CORPORATION, Toronto ON                                                                                                 

2006 – 2009

General Manager, Bayview Village Shopping Centre

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Shopping Centres, responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of a 420,000 square foot shopping centre including retail leasing and store construction, marketing, special events, service agreements, contract negotiations, re-development, tenant construction, security, maintenance, administration, and staffing.
