About khachig kerbabian:
I arrived in Canada in 2016, seeking refuge from the devastate of war. Back in Aleppo University, during the war conflict, I continually pursued my bachelor's degree in mathematics, despite the risks to my life. The uncertainty of survival did not stop my determination; I continued to chase my dreams.
During the unprecedented challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to start working on my second dream: becoming a software developer. Returning to school, I aimed not only to be involved into the Canadian education experience but also to grasp the intricacies of real-life software development cycles. I wanted to understand how large companies operate and manage extensive teams of developers.
I believe my values and skills align with the ethos of your company. My main point of joining a new team/company is vibrant community, transforming it from work environment into a cherished home. I am eager to contribute to an organization where I am not just an employee but an integral part of a family. where I grow with others developing great bonds understanding and trust.
Canada has become my homeland, a place where I've learned to adapt to its rich and diverse culture. In my future programming and development roles, I envision more than just a career; it's a lifestyle. I want to collaborate with a team, embracing diverse perspectives, respecting ideas, and fostering an environment where we can learn from one another.
My entry into the IT field stems from my innate problem-solving abilities. Mathematics became my passion because I relished finding precise solutions to intricate problems. I taught myself how to code, using this skill to simplify problem-solving processes. Joining any company means more than enhancing my programming skills—it's about equity, diversity, inclusion, and inclusive excellence.
In my collaborations, I prioritize equity, valuing every individual's unique background. Diversity fascinates me; I respect various cultures, opinions, and beliefs. Inclusion defines my character; I ensure everyone feels respected, supported, and valued. I pay close attention to those struggling to integrate into the team, breaking the ice to create a comfortable atmosphere. Inclusive excellence is not just a concept; it's my commitment to driving innovation, creativity, and success through diverse and inclusive environments. I am eager to contribute my skills, passion, and values to the dynamic landscape of your company.
Hiring me will not be beneficial as an experienced programmer. However, you will get an experienced team player, time management, due dates, supporter, and listener to other's opinions. Always look forward to gaining knowledge and learning from others, sharing, and growing.
For many years now I have been solving problems using computer programming! I am a natural problem solver and puzzle aficionado which, combined with my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Aleppo University of Syria, has equipped me with the skills required to excel at using a wide variety of algorithms, programming languages, development libraries & frameworks, and technologies to applying them to solve an equally wide variety of problems.
More recently my formal education in Conestoga’s Computer Programmer Analyst (CPA) Advanced Diploma program, has helped me round out my software development and engineering skills as I continue this journey toward being a Professional Developer. With great understanding of real-life developer world.
