About Kyle Lefler:

I am an English teacher from Canada, with over 9 years of teaching experience in my country, abroad, in classroom settings, hybrid lessons, online lessons, and individual in-home settings. I am now looking for my next opportunity in the teaching world. 

 

I do not have a BA or MA however I have received my TESOL diploma (a 33-month program). I have also received my TESOL certificate, specializing in teaching grammar, children, adolescents, and adults. As well as certificates in teaching Tourism, TOEFL, and others. For the past 5 years, I have taught Cambridge exam preparation classes to learners of all ages and levels and I also have experience in teaching CELPIP to adults.

 

For the past 5 years, I have been teaching using the full language approach, an approach of which I am in favor of using. While I am open to other approaches I have seen the difference in my student’s progression and the levels they have achieved. I am an enthusiastic teacher, which loves to meet the challenges which are put before me. I constantly assess my students and attempt to adjust my lessons accordingly. 

Experience

I presently have over 9 years of teaching experience. I have taught from material such as Way Ahead Enterprise 1-3, Total English beginner to advanced, Super Minds 2-4, More 1-4, Laser A.1-B Own it 1-4, Prepare 1-7, and CAE. and have Tutored in Cambridge and CELPIP exam preparation.   

Education

College: Global TESOL College: TESOL diploma (a 33-month program), specializations in; Teaching children, Teaching adolescents, Teaching adults, Teaching Grammar, Teaching tourism English, Tutoring in English, Teaching TOEFL preparation, The Graduate TESOL Course. A holder of The Specialized Foundation TESOL Certificate.
