Prepare raw and finished samples including environmental samples with aseptic techniques 

Arrange samples in correct incubators for enrichments, add enrichments accurately following work order instructions using pipette or micro pipette 

Check and change the pH of samples depending on specific tests as required 

Fully trained and able to monitor Critical Process Parameters including pH, temperature, water turbidity, operate Laminar flow hood (cleanroom environment) to perform tests (GMP-sterility test) on sensitive samples like cosmetic, can and jar food, etc. 

Accurately batch, manage samples, media, controls, stability sample reports and modify work orders using Lab Information Management System (LIMS) and Microsoft Office to complete responsibilities  

Stock media, utensils, make controls and maintain cleanliness of general prep room, also retain or discard samples as assigned 

Certified in operating autoclave and trained in media prep, able to make some media as requested 

Demonstrate excellent work ethic in attempt to maximize personal and team’s value 

Troubleshoot various issues independently with good common sense and organizational skill 

Perform administrative tasks and provide customer service 

Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution skills 

Provide support to Property Management, Contractors and other staff as required 

Advance key relationships to build trust and communication through working sessions 

Test pool water chemical and enforce parking infraction 

Successfully operate and manage 3 salons in Brampton and Georgetown 

Accurately work on payroll and bookkeeping using MS Office 

Schedule and book appointments with accuracy, develop knowledge of water tests and spa inspections 

Clean up and maintain cleanliness of the spa and equipment on a daily basis 

Train staff on techniques and safety procedures on regular basis, troubleshoot customer issues 

Provide general lab support, validation and demonstrate lab procedures including with practical knowledge of GLP, GMP, SOP and HACCP in microbiology labs 

Familiar with sample preparation techniques and microbial testing aseptically to identify and isolate bacteria/pathogens from products and materials 

Have experience and knowledge of microbiological techniques and Quality Control procedures include ELISA, bacterial enumeration, spread/pour plate, Haemocytometer, membrane filtration, MIC, MBC, most probable number technique and Critical Process Parameters (temperature, pH, water etc.) 

Ability to quickly learn new techniques, follow all labs' procedures, protocols and detailed instructions accurately based on current WHMIS and OH&S training with effective communication skills in fast paced environment 

Maintain lab safety and cleanliness by following strict safety procedures including disposal of bio- hazardous and non-biohazardous materials 

Knowledge of cosmetic Quality Assurance procedures and ingredients, actively learn and update new skills and techniques 

Write clear, concise lab reports and logbooks, efficient in paperwork and record keeping skills including knowledge of LIMS, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and browser 

Good leadership and time-management skills with ability to multitask in busy environment
