Lisa Coughlin

My name is Lisa, I am 38 years old, residing in my hometown Mission, which I love. I am passionate about making a difference in my community with mostly food security and nutrition.

 I started volunteering at St Josephs Food bank in 2015 by creating their face book page, which I ran for 8 years. I then joined the committee of other locals who just wanted to help. My volunteering grew to helping unload our shipments, stocking foods, cleaning bins, sitting on the board in 2017, setting up an email, fundraising at local events, hosting 50/50’s, starting the PayPal account and much more. I’m currently mostly helping with registration now and occasionally some fundraising. I’m happy to say that St Josephs Food bank now receives such an abundance of food that we’ve had the opportunity to overflow into our community! 

I am currently a local Realtor, and the main reason that I entered this career was so I could use my income to create change in my community. My career almost three years later hasn’t met my expectations and I look forward to a change in direction
