Mang Shin Ma

During my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to work on a National Institute of Health (NIH) funded Multi-Center Longitudinal study for Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) patients. My role involved the coordination of patient visits, execution of study procedures, and data management.

In addition to this, I have worked on multiple Quantitative research projects and trained on Mixed Methods research. I have experience in patient recruitment, clinical setup, equipment calibration, and data analysis using statistical software such as STATA/SPSS. I am also proficient in EndNote software and have completed a Scoping Literature Review for the Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry (ACFD).

In my current role as Clinical Research Coordinator, I work as the study lead under the supervision of the manager. I am well-versed in the regulatory requirements for conducting clinical research, including IRB interactions, site regulatory documentation collection, and archiving. I have experience in preparation of informed consent documents, submission of study-related documents to the Review Ethics Board (REB) using web-based platforms such as Nagano, and preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications
