I am a 2nd year clinical fellow in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Ottawa. I will be pursuing third year fellowship in ‘neonatal neurology & neurocritical care’ at the University of Alberta, for the academic year 2023-24.

Before joining the Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship program at Ottawa, I have had fellowship trainings at Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto (Mar-Jun 2021), Royal Hospital for Women, NSW, Australia (2018-2020) and 11 months of tertiary care NICU rotations during pediatric residency in India (2013-2016).

I have always had an interest in knowing the families caring for kids with developmental delays since joining the medical school. After becoming a pediatrician and during my neonatal training, my aim has been in studying the neonates who suffer from encephalopathies and to find a solution for preventable causes. In the last 3-4 years, I have led a few research projects on HIE management esp. mild HIE. 

Practicing family centered care with passion and competency, have always been the foremost priority for me. I feel that my dedication to research, and teaching along with good leadership skills make me a strong candidate for a neonatologist position. I will look forward to working towards improving quality in teaching as well as finding new management approaches in the field of neonatal neurology.
