I am a certified ESL instructor with more than 17 years of teaching experience in universities, colleges and public schools across Canada. I obtained my Master’s degree from the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain and completed my teaching practicum at the Free University of Berlin. My students work with films, cartoons, and stories and other resources that stimulate language immersion. I believe language learning should be an intense and fun experience and respond to the student’s individual needs.
Experience
I have taught languages in Canada and Europe. The highlight of my career is a job as a full-time language instructor at the Dalhousie University Russian department In Halifax, Canada. My responsibilities included curriculum design and instruction of our department’s language program (elementary, intermediate, and advanced proficiency levels) and organization of extra-curricular language activities that would provide students with opportunities for language immersion.
