Manufacturing / Mechanical
About Mariah De Torres:
I’m Mariah, a 2024 Nanotechnology Engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo, with a multidisciplinary foundation in mechanical, chemical, and electrical engineering.
I have over 2 years of experience in 3D printing and CAD (SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor), producing parts for prototypes, assemblies, and production components. I enjoy bringing design concepts to life and often volunteer my graphic design skills to support colleagues and local businesses.
I have experience in procurement and production, managing $1 million in funds for material acquisition, purchase orders, and production schedules, while coordinating with engineering teams and suppliers to maintain accurate BOMs and ensure on-time delivery. Additionally, I have supported project and product management, tracking budgets and coordinating cross-departmental initiatives. While I am still building formal management expertise, I am eager to expand my skills in this area.
A collaborative team player, I enjoy working across departments on projects that create meaningful impact!
