I am a Professional Chemist experienced in QC/QA Oil & Gas and petrochemical laboratories. Extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of analytical instruments - with proven abilities in cost effective lab management.
I have contributed in three major startups: DMT plant, Shell Scotford upgrader, and CNOOC upgrader in design, commissioning, operations, and certification processes to establish fully-functional operation laboratories.

- Managed service contracts with equipment suppliers to ensure seamless equipment and systems maintenances.
- Designed and executed inventory system for the lab chemicals, gas cylinders, and consumables. Expenditures for gas supplies reduced from $80K to $35K/year.
- Achieved 99.8% accuracy in preparing in-house calibration standards; reducing the need for external vendor standards which saved ~$10K/year.
- Prepared budgets, forecasts costs and monitored expenditures and justified additional expenses when required. Created KPI and management reports.
- Developed and implemented preventive maintenance plan for major analytical instruments; reducing $70K/year of the PM contract costs.
- Replaced full time employees with long term Co-op students reducing 50% of manpower costs.
- Implemented cross training strategy to enhance the staff performances and reduce the overtimes.
- Enhanced the efficiency and quality of outputs by constantly monitoring the execution of sampling, testing, projects, and services.
- Optimized sampling frequencies and sizes to minimize the hazardous wastes and reduce the waste management costs.
