About Michael Agueci:
As a Bachelor of Commerce student, my goal is to work in a dynamic organization that will allow me to apply my academic knowledge and practical experience as a service attendant, tutor and retail sales associate to develop my professional skills and contribute to the growth and success of the company.
While working at VIA Rail, I developed a range of skills including excellent communication skills, customer service and attention to detail. Effective communication with passengers, crew and station staff in a clear, concise and professional manner, anticipating customer needs and providing the highest level of customer service, attention to detail is crucial by ensuring safety protocols are followed, everything is clean and tidy and all equipment is in working order to ensure that passengers feel safe and comfortable.
Through my coursework at Guelph University in Management, Economics and Finance, I have developed a strong understanding of macro and micro economic theory, SWOT analysis and risk assessment. Additionally, my skills in communication, critical thinking, problem-solving and time management have all been polished through my academic experiences.
In addition to my academics I have been involved in extracurricular activities such as volleyball, powerlifting, intramural sports and served as VP Johnston Hall residence that have strengthened both my leadership and teamwork skills.
