Mohamed Hossam

I am Mohamed Mansor. I worked as a teaching assistant for Structural analysis, and steel design for four years. Besides,  I worked as a part time Structural engineer with four years of experience in designing mega projects like industrial buildings, residential buildings, and metro stations.

I worked for SETEC engineering consulting office which is a multinational French company that is ranked 76 according to ENR report 2021.

I am an expert in using the following structural programs: Sap 2000, Etabs, Safe, CSI column, Ram connection, Hilti, Limcon, Idea Statica, Prokon, Tekla, Autocad, CSIBridge,  SOFISTIK, Fidas, ABAQUS.

I am an expert in using the following design Codes and Standards: ACI, AISC, ASCE, AASHTO LRFD,    CSA A23, CSA S16, CSA O86, CSA S6, EC1, EC2, EC3, SBC 306, SBC 304 ECP (ASD and LRFD).
 

• Research and Teaching Assistant, University of Ottawa, (January 2022 – Now)

Working as a research assistant.

Worked as a teaching assistant in a Structural stability course (CVG 5149).

• Part-time Structural Engineer, SETEC EGYPTE, (March 2019 – December 2021)

Performed the design of El- Mit-Ghamr Bridge using CSI Bridge and delivered the design drawings.

Performed the design of Sahragt Bridge using CSI Bridge and delivered the design drawings.

Performed the design of El- Saforya Bridge using CSI Bridge and delivered the design drawings.

Designed sheet pile wall to support embankment in Benha - El-Mansora road. 

Collaborated as a team member to build a 3D Model of metro stations “El-Qawmia”, “El-Bohy”.

Collaborated as a team member to design metro stations “El- Qawmia, “El-Bohy” and  “Cairo University” according to EC3 using Sofistik, Limcon, Idea statica, Fedis.

Designed  Foot Bridges of “Cairo University” Station according to EC3 using Prokon, Sofistik, and Idea Statica.

Performed fireproof drawings of Metros stations “El-Qawmia and El-Bohy” and delivered the specifications of the fireproofing of these stations.

Collaborated as a team member to design el Sharjah waste-to-energy plant in UAE according to AISC using Sap 2000 and Ram connection. 

• Teaching and Research Assistant, Ain Shams University, (September 2017 – December 2021)

Taught the Structural Analysis course. 

Taught the Design of Steel Structures course. 

Taught the Design of Bridges course. 

Solved problems and answered the questions of the students. 

Prepared a weekly report of what has been accomplished by the students and submitted it to the

course instructor.

Designed an R.C underground tank with capacity 250 m3 in Cleopatra factory.

Performed an innovative design steel platform (without columns) in Evergrow company.

Collaborated as a team member in performing the design of Waraq steel factory.

Collaborated as a team member to perform the design of the supporting system of elevators in Mitsubishi company.

Designed two steel factories, a concrete factory, and a concrete residential building.
