Experience

  • Owned and operated restaurant and catering business for 7 years, serving groups of up to 500 guests
  • Accurately followed recipes with attention to detail and ability to replicate with precision
  • Focus on food safety and maintaining standards of predetermined food costs.
  • Perform variety of food preparation skills including, braising, poaching, simmering, boiling, frying, baking, roasting, stir-frying, blanching, and broiling.
  • Adherence to food standard procedures including covering, dating, storage and rotation all products while maintaining sanitary workstations.
  • Perform other general cleaning duties within the kitchen and eating area to uphold Food Safety Standards

Education

  • Hired, trained and managed staff effectively, ensuring adequate staffing levels for events
  • Anticipate and appropriately respond to customer requests
  • Worked with vulnerable population at The Mustard Seed
