Experience

Worked as Control Room Operator and Acting supervisor in sulfur forming unit at Marine terminal at Aramco Jizan refinery complex through KENT below jobs description.

Operation Supervisor Day-Acting (July 2021-August 2022)

Complete and file reports, including Meter throughput by-product, Stock report, and Update inventory spreadsheet

Sign in visitors and contractors verifying identification Issue work permits (hot/cold work, confined space) verifying safe and secure working conditions for contractors and internal personnel.

Ensure authorization and supervision of contractors.

Coordinate fire watch with contractors/firemen. Sign in fire watch and advise them of work site safety procedures and locations, PMI filing, work order completion sheets

Provide customer driver support in building loads in automated loading systems.

Provide driver orientation training on the use of terminal systems, safety, and security.

Issue driver entry cards, cancel lost and re-issue

Enter new trucks into the system – enter data and ensure approval

Receive customer truck vapor tests and proof of insurance – ensure compliance

Provide product and rack information to drivers

Enforce safety and security procedures and ban

Complete terminal ops checklist – daily

Complete end-of-day inventory report and Email Report.

Spearheading the operational activities ensuring strict compliance with defined SOPs, and HSE procedures.

Process supervision, guiding console & field operators to ensure safe and smooth plant operation.

Continuous vigilance in the field by taking rounds at regular intervals.

Identifying areas of obstruction and taking steps for rectifying equipment through the application of troubleshooting tools; ensuring safe handover/takeover of the equipment to/from maintenance.

Providing better and more productive control strategies through suggestions to the management based on actual site conditions and unit operating status.

Performing JSA - risk analysis for non-routine critical jobs and preparing what-if scenarios with various operational disturbances and emergencies.

Actively participated in daily/monthly OME meetings and coordinated for the concerned refinery unit.

Front-leading the work permit management and closely coordinating with the cross-functional service departments for follow-up jobs.

Preparing the shift reports and updation of safety Checklist documents and following up with team members for compliance with abnormalities.

Coordinating with the auditors for various internal & external audits.

Process upset trouble-shooting, handling of problems emergencies/equipment breakdown.

Supervising critical activities, identifying and correcting unsafe conditions/acts.

Control room operator (Aug 2020- July 2021)

Monitor and control assigned unit DCS console process variables to sustain steady state operations within operating and equipment design limits to achieve required throughput, specifications, and product yields in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.

Control the operation of assigned process units through continuous monitoring and regulation of process variables from DCS, PLCs, ESDs, process analyzers, and alarm systems to achieve operational targets.

Proactively manage and adjust process parameters to sustain variables within alarm limits.

Adhere to Alarm Management objectives and goals. Ensure all disabled alarms and ESD inputs are properly addressed and recorded in the Alarm Off / ESD Inhibit log with corrective / mitigation measures and Management of Change.

Monitor the control apparatus and the functions of DCS, and other control panels at all times.

Oversee, monitor, control, and optimize the processes of the site through remote control of equipment and communication with field personnel.

Assess and interpret all standard displays including process graphics, maintenance alarm summary, and system diagnostics.

Site visits and compliance tasks, interacting with our driver community and carrier companies, safely and efficiently unloading marine vessels, supporting ongoing site maintenance, miscellaneous tasks, and repair activities; overseeing and supporting contractors on site and site project work, and maintaining effective, reliable and efficient operation while ensuring all work is done safely according to SOPs.

Responsible for effectively communicating with field personnel to coordinate the starting, stopping, operation, and

changing of plant operating conditions.

Notify field personnel, supervision, and engineering staff as appropriate of operating irregularities.

Accurately follow procedures, record data, create required reports, and provide timely feedback to Supervisor and/or Engineering personnel.
