- Prepare, analyze, and present cost, estimating, planning, scheduling, workface planning (FIWP), interface planning, and performance information to management
- Assists with the development and management of the cost control systems to provide project and company management with accurate financial information. Develop work breakdown structure (WBS), cost breakdown structure (CBS), interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments. Use Value Engineering (VE) techniques to cut the costs in design, procurement and execution by adopting a systematic and function-focused method.
- Performs independent analysis of data stored in the project management and cost control systems. Create presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status
- Provides estimates to evaluate various alternatives and support economic evaluations and cost estimates for project authorization and execution purposes, cost-benefit analysis (CBA)
- Collect and correlate necessary project-related cost data needed to determine equipment, material, subcontract, construction labour, expenses and indirect costs such as engineering, etc.
- Support the management team at meetings, Project Performance Reviews, Project Status Reviews, Monthly Status Reviews, and Cost Variance
- Evaluates project deviations to provide data to the project team for decision-making
- Effective use of the Earn Value Method (EVM); integrating scope, schedule, and cost to objectively measure performance, track progress, and forecast future outcomes
