Neil Perena
Pharmaceutical / Bio-tech
About Neil Perena:
I am a recent graduate at Mount Royal University with a degree in Bachelor of Science in General Science with studies emphasized on the fields of Biology and Chemistry.
Throughout my program, I have conducted a variety of individual and group research-based projects and wrote various manuscripts which includes but not limited to the investigation of enzyme kinetics, exploring the aspects of pharmacology to find a treatment for a disease, explaining the physiological mechanism behind the contractile properties of a human skeletal muscle, and more.
Furthermore, the data used for these research projects were also collected inside the laboratory which gave an opportunity for me to learn and gain experience in a laboratory environment by utilizing the proper laboratory instruments and conducted proper laboratory techniques while simultaneously applying the concepts and ideas I learned inside the classroom.
With my passion and background in Science, I am hoping to contribute and make effective use of my scientific literacy to the companies so that I can maintain, and continuously expand on my knowledge and experience in Biology and Chemistry.
