Nicholas Dellar-Fernandes

I am an aspiring Full Stack developer who is competent in working in both the front and back end. I have experience working in both Linux and Windows environments, and have completed multiple projects using Javascript, HTML, CSS and Ruby. I am most passionate about learning more in the back end, as I find it will open up more opportunities and allow my creative side to show. Currently, I am learning Java online as well as continuing some passion projects of my own. Check out my Github!

Professionally, I have worked as a political attaché for 4 years in Montreal. I work for a member of the National Assembly of Quebec (MNA), however I work in the Montreal office in the West Island. Here, I gained skills such as mediation, conflict resolution, problem solving for constituents who did not know where to turn and organized various meetings and activities for the MNA that I work for.

My most recent education took place at Lighthouse Labs remotely. There, I spent 30 weeks learning how to becoming a web developer, and built upon a passion I discovered years ago. This course was called the Web Developer flex program, as it allowed me to continue working at my current job, as well as doing the course at nights and on weekends.

In 2021, I graduated with a BA in Political Science from Concordia University in Montreal as well.
