About Nicky Orenstein:
I have had the pleasure of working with some incredible brands over my career both internally within organizations and externally on the agency side and as an independent. I work best with brands that are looking to redefine their relationships with customers by becoming more transparent and committed to fostering emotional connection. The future of commerce is values-based and authenticity is not something that can be manufactured.
I encourage my clients and partners to seek simplicity in their search for solutions to their various challenges. My belief is that every problem can be stripped down to a single honest question and your resolution will always reveal itself. Successful brand design is a process of uncovering essence. I work to ensure your brand has its core essence and values represented seamlessly into each consumer touchpoint by delivering timeless campaign creative and design work that cuts through the noise, organically connects and challenges the status quo.

Experience
Over the past 5 years, I have been working alongside Carry Corp. agency as a Brand Strategy Consultant & Art Director. Carry Corp. focused on the 360 branded experience. We collectively believe that brands are individual ecosystems responsive to culture, both internally and externally – that’s why we aim to immerse ourselves within the infrastructure of each client’s model to represent a true extension of their team. We have successfully developed brand identities, directed and produced national campaigns, redesigned organizations internally and launched products and businesses for industry-leading clients and of all scales. Some of our clients include RBC, Canada Goose, TikTok & MLSE.
Independently I have had the pleasure of working on various campaigns with brands such as Shopify, On Running & Soul Cycle as an Art Director. As a designer originally by trade, taking on contract design work when the right opportunity arises still gets me excited as it is my opportunity to connect more tangibly with brands and their audiences. Whether that be through product, packaging, print, or OOH design I am passionate about finding unique ways for clients to create physical surprise and delight moments for their customers. What may seem like fleeting details in a fast-moving predominantly digital world often become what end up making the most memorable lasting impressions of your brand. It's all in the little thoughtful touches.
During my time at October's Very Own as Creative Director from 2014-2018; I worked across OVO Sound, OVO Merchandising and the label artist‘s directly to clearly define the individual brands under the OVO umbrella, connecting through lines between brand and business objectives. We grew what was once an artists’ merchandise line into a global retail business. Our goal was to change perceptions, shifting the sentiment of OVO as a Drake label to one worn to express Canadian pride.
