Nicole Verdonk

My name is Nicole Verdonk, and I am a professional helicopter pilot as well as a marketing manager for AceHost. I have spent my career developing the skills and expertise needed to excel in both of these fields, and I am excited to bring my diverse skill set to new opportunities.

As a commercial helicopter pilot, I specialize in CBI 300 and R44 aircraft. I have experience leading teams, evaluating flight requirements, conducting aircraft inspections, and developing flight plans. My focus on customer service ensures that each passenger has a safe and enjoyable experience, whether it be on scenic tours or during emergency response missions.

In addition to my passion for aviation, I have a degree in marketing and have been working as a marketing manager for AceHost. In this role, I oversee all marketing efforts, including online and offline campaigns, social media management, and targeted advertising strategies. I have experience leading a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of sales targets. I also excel in building and maintaining relationships with clients, resulting in high rates of repeat business and customer satisfaction.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills. I am comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and I thrive under pressure and tight deadlines. My strong communication and interpersonal skills enable me to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders, including ground control, air traffic control, tour guides, and customer service representatives.

In addition to my professional experiences, I hold certifications in many areas, including Outdoor Emergency Care and CPR, Class 4 Unrestricted Commercial License,WHMIS, Transportation Endorsement, CPR/AED, Swift Water/Flood Rescue/Search and Rescue Training, Commercial Aviation Radio, and Transport Canada Air Laws.

I am excited for new opportunities in event planning and management, and I believe my diverse background and skills make me a strong candidate for the Concert Planner position. As a sales and marketing lead at AceHost, Nicole oversaw marketing efforts, coordinated online and offline campaigns, and managed social media accounts to increase property visibility. She also led a team of sales professionals, acted as the primary point of contact for VIP clients, and managed renovations and property improvements. Nicole developed and maintained client relationships, providing personalized concierge services and organizing special events. 

Nicole's experience also includes working as part of the grounds crew at Blackcomb Helicopters, where she maintained inventory and aircraft data systems, documented maintenance and services, and assisted with medical evacuations. She has also served as a forest firefighter for the BC Wildfire Service, responding to emergencies and protecting natural resources. 

Nicole holds a degree in Business and Administration, with a specialization in Entrepreneurship, from the University of Victoria. She also has a Commercial Helicopter Pilots License from JoinAir Helicopters and various certifications, including Outdoor Emergency Care and CPR, WHMIS Certification, Transportation Endorsement, CPR/AED, Swift Water/Flood Rescue/Search and Rescue Training, Commercial Aviation Radio Certification, and Transport Canada Air laws Certification. She is fluent in English and has a beginner-level proficiency in Spanish.
