Experience
Receptionist – Metcalfe Realty Company Limited – Ottawa, Ontario 2025 • In this position I was occupied with processing payments, filing information, receiving and directing critical, time sensitive communications such as client requests for a historical property and project management company serving over 20 important government and business properties in the Ottawa area. I was also directing communications between clients, staff and executives.
Technical Copyeditor – Space Concordia – Montreal, Quebec 2025 • As a Technical Copyeditor, my role focused on editing the Research & Literature Review research papers and proposal submissions for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to scientific standards. My duties and responsibilities included reviewing and editing technical documents for grammar, structure, and scientific clarity, ensuring compliance with journal or grant proposal guidelines, collaborating with Research Writers on the Research & Literature Review team to refine and enhance technical writing, provide feedback on technical content and finally staying updated on the research project’s development.
Logistics Coordinator – Shared Services Canada – Ottawa, Ontario 2023 – 2024 • My main duty was the hosting, facilitation, and recording of meetings of C-Suite level governance boards overseeing service and project management, financing/investment, and executive operations. This included managing the communications for executive committees, ensuring quorum, drafting records of decision as well as developing an analysis tool to review the function of strategic governance for Executive Committee Services, which is responsible for ensuring the functioning of departmental governance at Shared Services Canada, an operational service agency providing crucial IT resources for 44 partners across the government of Canada. This entailed collaboration with internal and external partners on a tight deadline with the completion of daily tasks, usually for multiple boards at once. I prepared agendas that were required to be constantly updated based on communications from Assistant Deputy Ministers’ offices. After meetings, I updated a database of meeting material on Sharepoint to make sure that all the information was captured appropriately and monitored a generic inbox, filing, and redirected emails. This position demanded rapid learning of new tools and procedures and the ability to balance many tasks at once.
Teaching Assistant – Concordia University – Montreal, Quebec 2023 • I served as a teaching assistant for the course POLI 205: International Relations. This course provides an introduction to the study of international relations (IR), presenting theories about the actions and interactions of individuals, institutions, and states while preparing students for more advanced courses in international relations with the analytical skills required to understand current events in the world. The professor relied on me to mark the majority of lengthy essays on a tight deadline, reading, marking, and providing feedback on a large volume of responses. I also identified problems with academic integrity and provided guidance to help students succeed during and outside of regular office hours both in person and through email communication.
Assistant Manager – Hotels Gouverneur – Ste - Adele, Quebec 2007 - 2015 • I oversaw the daily finances and operations of the sports and recreation facilities of a large hotel for a diverse clientele of local and international guests, coordinating with others on the team and wider hotel staff. These facilities included a pool, gym, beach, tennis, badminton, skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and others depending on the season. I was responsible for equipment rentals, concessions, membership sales, property maintenance and security along with many other duties.
