Services offered
I am a Spanish Copyeditor at The Markaz Review, a publication that showcases diverse perspectives on the Middle East and North Africa. With over 4 years of experience in editing and translating Spanish-language content, I apply my meticulous attention to detail and linguistic expertise to ensure that the text adheres to proper grammar, syntax, and style guidelines, enhancing its clarity and coherence.
My role involves reviewing and refining Spanish-language content submitted for publication, contributing to the publication's high editorial standards, and providing readers with polished and engaging content in Spanish. I also volunteered as a translation reviewer for Cuso International, a non-profit organization that works to reduce poverty and inequality. In this role, I ensured that the translations of internal safety documentation were accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate.
I have a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literatures and Cultures from the University of Toronto, and I have published several poems and articles on Latin American books and culture. I am passionate about promoting and celebrating the richness and diversity of Hispanic and Latin American literature and language.
