Oriana Kohut

Hello there! I am a recent university graduate from Canada looking to find an ESL teaching job. I love to travel while volunteering/working in the community to get to know the culture and country more intimately and to give back to the people I am interacting with. 

I have some experience with language teaching. I assisted in an Italian language course in Italy for new migrants and refugees where I supported a teacher in a class of various levels, ages, and backgrounds of Italian. I also volunteered to teach a six-week French course online with the University of Krakow in Poland. In this, I created from scratch my own course for levels A1-B2 and taught them over zoom using creative methods to keep students engaged. Along with this, I have experience taking many language courses so have a good understanding of how they are structured and the expectations of the students. I also volunteered as a health peer for the health and counselling office at my university where I created and completed outreaches for the students to inform them about health-related topics, this was a great experience learning to interact and translate knowledge with students. 

I have a high school diploma along with a Ba in Health Science, minor in Philosophy and Law. I achieve dean's honour role all throughout school and graduated with honours with distinction.
