About Paige Graham:
My name is Paige Graham, I'm a third-year Bachelor of Applied Science in Horticulture student at Olds College. My classes are online this summer and I'm looking for a 4-8 month summer job to align with my field study goals. I currently reside in Red Deer but I will live in Calgary for the summer. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Experience
As a designated Arborist 1 I worked with the City of Red Deer's Urban Forestry department from 2015-2022. I pruned trees and showed a consistent ability to establish training procedures disciplining staff to prune city trees according to industry standards and best management practices. I conducted safety drills and trained staff to operate and maintain aerial lifts and woodchippers according to standard operating procedures. I insightfully applied monthly setup and take down of insect traps to monitor the presence of regulated forest pests in compliance with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. I utilized City Parks GIS to create project maps and work orders for arborist crews, effectively communicating job details. I completed mapping projects for Parks information to be finalized in Arc Pro GIS. Understanding the important connection between human health and environmental health, I communicated well with the public respectfully easing any of their concerns.
