About Patrick Mota:
Contracts Specialist/ Quantity Surveyor with over 15 years of international experience in office and site-based roles including project management, quantity surveying, contracts & commercial management, contracts administration & coordination, site management, and trade assistance. I worked on projects that exposed me to several subgroups of construction including residential, industrial, civil, structural, electrical & water reticulation using various forms of contracts and specifically commercially managed contracts that varied in price from tens of thousands up to the most recent CA$ 150 Million bridge project that commenced in November 2022 gaining years of continuous experience working in on a multi-national project between two countries, with foreign and domestic stakeholders
Experience
In my professional experience, I have been chiefly involved as the Employers Project Manager responsible for developing project contracts from inception, concept and viability, design development, documentation, procurement, and construction through to close-out. At various stages in my experiences, I have come across and applied all common project management knowledge areas, such as quality management, schedule management, cost management, risk management, health and safety management, environmental management, etc while managing staff, consultants, and contractors.
I have managed small, medium, and large multi-disciplinary projects in various professional and nonprofessional facets.
I have had some architectural / construction studies training and appreciate facilities and maintenance management requirements.
Education
I have a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Quantity Surveying and have taken courses at a Masters level. I have also taken up courses in construction law and construction arbitration.
