About Peter Duhault:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to express my sincere interest in your recruitment for the position of Senior Director of Operations for British Columbia. I am an analytical thinker with a strong work ethic, dedication, and drive to achieve all personal and professional goals. My leadership style consists of building honourable relationships with my team(s), while also accomplishing the needs of the organization and the community.

With over twenty years of managerial experience within the Provincial Government, Municipal Government, and the private sector, I am skilled in leading talented teams in various settings, ranging from small teams to large teams with over 200 staff members. I have worked within a variety of municipal settings, including consulting roles and commercial business operations. I have been recognized by superiors for my ability to lead staff with integrity, accountability, and dedication, even through tumultuous periods of time. As a leader, my focus is ensuring that all workplaces I oversee are healthy and free of any hinderances that would reduce employee production, and I strive to achieve high levels of staff engagement. I focus on setting tangible and obtainable goals for both myself and my team, and provide proactive coaching and reinforcement along the way.

Beyond the workplace, I am a dedicated member of the Chilliwack Mt. Cheam Rotary Club, and I have been a Rotarian within my community for over 20 years. I served as President of the Chilliwack Mt. Cheam Rotary Club during 2021/22. In my time as President, I helped lead numerous community initiatives that were aimed at improving our community and the world as a whole. Namely, I led the organization of a charity event that raised $128,000 in one night, making it the most successful event of it’s kind in the Club’s history. Furthermore, I worked with my team at the Club to spearhead a partnership with the City of Chilliwack, allowing us to raise $225,000 to assist with the creation of a local state-of-the-art pump track for the children in our community.

As my resume will indicate, I have a proven and varied background in both local government and the private sector, with a focus on developing organization and time management skills required to succeed under the most stressful and fast-paced environments.
British Columbia holds a very special place in my heart. I have called this Province home for much of my life, and I have worked and volunteered within many areas of the Province for over twenty years. Accordingly, I am a firm believer in the need for a connected and engaged community.

If selected for the position, I sincerely believe that I could utilize the skills I have developed over the year, including my credibility, knowledge, and professional independence, to enhance and enrich the community through the role of Senior Director of Operations. Further, I believe that my years of dedication to optimizing customer service, operational success and community engagement will provide me with the tools required to contribute to the success of British Columbia.

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to reviewing my personal resume with you soon.

Best Regards,

Peter Duhault
