My role also involves effective communication and teamwork with other staff members to support overall facility operations, along with maintaining detailed records of cleaning activities and reporting any maintenance issues promptly. I am currently pursuing a diploma in communication, which significantly enhances my effectiveness as a housekeeper at a retirement living facility. My education in communication provides me with advanced skills in interpersonal and professional interactions, vital for ensuring residents feel heard and respected. Through coursework in public speaking, writing, intercultural communication, and conflict resolution, I have learned to convey information clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing. These skills are directly applicable to my daily responsibilities, such as collaborating with staff members, addressing residents' needs, and maintaining detailed records of cleaning activities. My ability to adapt my communication style to different audiences and contexts ensures that I can provide compassionate and efficient service, contributing to a comfortable and welcoming environment for all residents.
